Satisfying Sausage, Cabbage, Potato, and Carrot Stir Fry

There's nothing like the heavenly combination of sausage, potatoes, and cabbage no matter if its in a soup, baked, or stir fried. As someone who loves cabbage, I'm always on the lookout for recipes, ideas, and combinations using cabbage and this recipe along with making chicken and cabbage in a stir fry satisfy my "stir fry with cabbage" moods. This recipe is also is very quick to make and doesn't require a lot of seasoning due to the delicious flavor if the sausage and the vinegar. The next time you're in the mood for cabbage and sausage, why not try this recipe?






Ingredients:

-1 1/2 cups chopped kielbasa or andouille sausage

-2 cups chopped green cabbage

-2 chopped russet potatoes or red potatoes

-1/2 cup chopped red onions

-1/2 cup chopped carrots

-3 tbs. olive oil

-3 tbs. butter or margarine

-4 cups water for the potatoes

-2 tbs. minced garlic

-1 tsp. smoked paprika

-1 tbs. red wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar

-black pepper and garlic salt to taste


Steps:

  1. In a pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the potatoes and cook for 10 minutes then drain. On high heat, add 1 tbs. of the oil to a large pan or wok. Add the chopped sausage and cook until browned about 3 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and seasonings and cook for about 10 minutes until the cabbage and carrots are tender and the potatoes have browned a bit. Serve and enjoy!
