Summertime is the perfect time to bring out your most healthy and indulgent dishes to share with your family and friends. Whether its an indoor gathering or outdoor one, you can't miss the summertime hit recipes. We all love mac and cheese, potato salad, seafood salad, pasta salad, collard greens, and creamed corn but we can't forget about boiled green beans and potatoes. My first experience with it came from a can and canned potatoes and green beans have a special place in hell for me personally. Because I love cooking and turning dishes I may not have liked into good ones, I made this recipe as the tasty homemade alternative to the famous canned green beans and potatoes that is brought out in the summertime.
-2 cups green beans or 1/2 lb. green beans
-2 chopped russet potatoes
-1/2 cup chopped red onions or yellow onions
-5 cups chicken broth
-1-2 tsp. garlic salt
-2 tbs. minced garlic
-1 tsp. smoked paprika
-3 tbs. butter or margarine
-black pepper to taste
Bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add all ingredients, cover, and cook on low heat for 20 minutes. Serve with your favorite chicken or fish dish. Enjoy!
